Vaneers vs crowns? What is the difference?

I would like to have my bottom teeth fixed so that they don't look so crooked. I'm always hearing about vaneers - what is different about them from porcelain crowns and are they more or less expensive. Thanks.

Vaneers vs crowns? What is the difference?
With crowns, the entire tooth is shaved around so that there is space for a crown to fit on top of the tooth. With veneers, only the front of the tooth is shaved and the veneer only covers the face of the tooth.

Price probably ranges from area to area, but they are usually close in price.

Hope that helps.
