How much would 12 porcelain crowns cost?

and why is dental work so expensive?

How much would 12 porcelain crowns cost?
Dental work isn't really all that expensive. You really do get value for money with most dental work. It does depend on where you live, for example crowns are going to be like 3x that amount in beverly hills with fancy dentists since the market can bare that.

One crown for a front tooth (all porcelain) can cost up to 2000 dollars if you live in an expensive place. My crown (for implant) is going to be 8-12 hundred.

Yeah, its expensive, but it takes time and know-how to figure out just what will look best in your mouth.
Reply:Porcelain crowns can cost anywhere from $500 to about $1200, depending on where you get your dental work done. The office that I work at charges $900 per crown, but if you have insurance, they typically will pay for half of their approved cost if you stay within the network.

I wish I had an answer for why dental work is so expensive...
Reply:For me, I asked my dentist for a discount and was charged $300 per crown. It varies depending on where you go and is usually in the $300 - $500 range.
