like could a dentist tell your ensurance company that they are needed and there not cosmetic so that they will cover the cost?
Are lumineers/crowns covered by insurance if a dentist recommends them?
Review your policy; and your dentist's office can review your benefits for you as well. If Lumineers and/or porcelain veneers are covered, then it is worth asking your dentist to submit a pre-authorization or pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company. If veneers are flat out not covered, it really won't matter what your dentist says, it just isn't a covered benefit.
Also, most insurance companies request accompanying documentation from the dentist to show the need for treatment. That is impossible to fake.
Well, I guess anything is possible, but that would be going toward insurance fraud, and that isn't a good idea.
Reply:Contact your insurance agent unless you are prepared to post your entire dental policy here, please.
Reply:Well I have Delta Dental out of IA and they cover 50% of crowns/caps but I'm sure they don't cover lumineers. Those are for cosmetic purposes. You should check with your insurance company and see.
Reply:nope. they are considered cosmetic no matter how 'recommended'
Reply:Depends on your insurance, but most likely no.
Reply:No!!
