Can I change color of dental crowns?

I have dental crown in the front that is loose. It will have to come off and be re-cemented. This gives me a chance to have it made whiter. Is that possible? To have the color changed and re-baked? It's ceramic/porcelain and metal.

Nope, sorry that is not possible, you would need to have a new one made.
Reply:Crowns can be sent back to the laboratory where they were made, and can be rebaked with a lighter shade. It may include a fee, and wouldn't be covered by insurance, and you'll have to do without it for a few days, but you could use a temporary tooth to hold you over until it gets back.
Reply:yes the color is set in the mix when the tooth is made up. so you need to do this before it is glued in place.

you can go whiter or darker it is totally up to you.
