NO!! If you've worn tooth structure away with acid exposure (chewing vitamin C, GURD, bulemia, etc), then it's best to save as much remaining tooth structure as possible. Crowns and veneers take away the remaining enamel. Consider bonding over the area to protect the remaining enamel. Find a dentist that is skilled with composite resin procedures.
Is the only way to cover acid wear with veneers or crowns?
Helen is correct.....and bonding is good to preserve the tooth, but you need to control the acid exposure (GERD, Bulimia, etc.) to prevent further problems.......
Another help to build enamel is MI paste.
