How much do crowns and implants (permanent dentures) cost?

Trying to get a general feel for the price before selecting dental plan. Thanks!

How much do crowns and implants (permanent dentures) cost?
Implants are very expensive. My uncle just got one because he got hit in the face with a hammer. Ouch! Anyway, the whole shebang was over 6 grand, but that was for more than just the implant, that included bone grafts and stuff too. You do have to have periodic (every 3-6 months) pin adjustments which is a few hundred dollars a tooth.

You shouldnt have to suffer because you cant afford it. There is an option for un-insured and under-insured people: Dental, Vision, Rx, and Chiropractic plan: $11.95/month for an individual. No waiting periods, no limits on visits or services, no age limits, all specialists included, 100% satisfaction guaranteed, instant savings, EVERYONE QUALIFIES, on-going conditions accepted. Health and Medical plan too if you need it. Let me know what I can do to help :) Enrollment takes 10 mins or less and your plan can be used the same day. Call or message me for more info, I know how bad that kind of stuff can get. 541-258-7148 IM: starsalso@yahoo.com or racheleburke@hotmail.com email: starsalso@yahoo.com

Reply:It depends on where you live. I live in PA and had crowns done they cost me about 650 a peice. My brother lives in NV and told me it cost him 1200 a peice. Implants are even more expensive.
Reply:It depends on how great of a dentist the person is. The dentist is actually not the one who makes the actual tooth. He/she usually sends the impression to a lab and depending on how great the lab is...there is another fee especially if your dealing with natural and esthetic looking teeth. Do you want teeth that look like teeth or some piece of porcelain in your mouth....

It also depends on what type of material the dentist uses. Do you want a crown that has a metal substructure or one that is made all out of ceramic material? I would recommend that you screen your dentists.... Would you go to any Plastic Surgeon w/o really knowing what type of work he/she does????

Price range :

Average dentist: 400-600

Great Dentist: 800-1200 (same procedure)

YOU PAY FOR WHAT U GET.......
Reply:implants are still very expensive - i would venture to estimate approx 2000 dollars a piece not including the crowns or bridges to go on top of them...now for the dentals- the same not including the cost of the dentures which would have an added cost for the fittings that go over the implants

Reply:My crowns (I have eight of them) all cost around $500 - $600 a piece. Insurance pays for half the cost.
