I just got a root canal about a month ago and was asked to come back for a crown. How much do crowns cost?

Im just concerned that a crown cost a lot of money. How much would the cheapest crown cost?

Generally, crowns range from $800-1200, depending on the dentist and area. You could probably get a crown for a 2/3 to 1/2 the price if you have a dental school nearby (that would be the cheapest place to get one). However, you absolutely need to get one because your root canal will not last without one - bacteria will get back into the root of the tooth and cause another infection. There's really no point in having a root canal unless you get the crown.
Reply:Well, my dentist has been wanting to put crowns on two of my teeth and I can't afford it. Yes, they are very expensive. My dentist quoted a price for the ones she wants to do---$800 each. And that's with insurance.
Reply:Depends on how many jewels are on it. More bling in the crown makes the servants respect you more.
