They are the temp ones until the perm ones are made. I'm getting a bad taste in my mouth from them. Is this normal?
I had two dental crowns put on yesterday?
yes, this bad taste is typically food getting trapped around them and not being cleaned out. sometimes, if the teeth that are getting crowns are next to eachother, the dentist will have the 2 temps stuck together as opposed to having 2 singles. i would recommend flossing and using a mouth rinse in the area. your dentist will thank you for healthy tissues!!
Reply:are you flossing aroung them...you need to.
i have a temp crown on and it catches food a lot.
the dental hygenist told me to keep the area flossed well.
they kind of cut the gums so there is some blood.
that could be the taste.
I had mine Tue and it's fine now.
Reply:um.. what are dental crowns?
Reply:Yes this is normal. I've had two of them put in as well. They taste kinda funny, you're just not used to them. It goes away in a bit. You may/or may not get it when you have the real ones in, but it also doesn't take long. I'd advice you to have Tylenol ready...I had quite the sensitive pain when the real crowns got in! It will only last for a day or two though.
All the best
Reply:yes ,find a good rinse formular to get rid of the taste
