How are crowns kept into place in your gums?

I had a root canal about a year ago and a crown was put in. I still sometimes get an achy feeling under the tooth? Also, I'm afraid that when I floss, it's going to pop out. Any ideas? I don't go back to the dentist for about 6 months.

Dental cement. Give your dentist a call about the pain; you might have an infection.
